Home Information Packs
Since 14th December 2007 every home placed on the market, no matter what size, must have a Home Information Pack (HIP). It is designed to provide information at the start of the process – such as a Sales Statement, Local Searches and Evidence of Title. The pack also includes an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) which contains advice on how to cut C02 emissions and fuel bills.
When you instruct Burnell’s to sell your home, we will obtain a HIP on your behalf.

Commercial buildings
Since the 1st October 2008, all commercial properties are required to have an EPC on sale, rental or upon construction. The certificate is valid for 10 years or until a newer EPC is prepared.
